FAQ For CalmReLeaf

100% legal within the UK providing that the levels of THC fall below 0.2% and the CBD is sourced from hemp, not marijuana.

CBD isolate is a form of CBD. Unlike full-spectrum CBD products, CBD isolate does not contain any THC — the psychoactive component of cannabis.

CBD isolate is a good option for those who would like to try CBD, but who cannot or do not want to ingest any tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the active ingredient in cannabis. Most other CBD products contain at least a small percentage of THC.

If you have any underlying health conditions, it’s wise to speak with your doctor before trying CBD. This is especially important if you’re using prescription medications to treat your condition.

CBD has a high level of safety and rarely interferes with other medications for medical conditions, but there are a few exceptions.

A few specific examples of times where CBD may not be safe to use include:

  • Low blood pressure
  • Heart disease
  • While taking immunosuppressive drugs
  • After an organ transplant or major surgery
  • Schizophrenia or psychosis

How long would it take before I see the benefits of CBD?

Everyone is different, so this is impossible to answer, some feel instant relief when they’ve eaten a cheesecake with 25mg of CBD incorporated, others feel the benefits after a few days, me personally, it took a build up of CBD before I could start reducing my painkillers and feeling the full benefits.

The suggested recommended dosage to start with is 10 drops, then increase by 3 drops until you find what works best for you, this is known as your ‘sweet spot’.

lace the oil directly under your tongue and hold it there for 2 minutes before swallowing. There is no guidelines for a time to take CBD, it is beneficial whenever it’s taken, however if your using to help with sleep I’d be inclined to take it a couple of hours before bed. I personally wouldn’t advise to take it on an empty stomach. Fatty foods (such as dark/plain chocolate) help the delivery of CBD into your system.

Any side effects?

CBD Isolate is often well tolerated and is generally a low risk substance however possible side effects can include;

Dry mouth

Possible drowsiness

Diarrhoea

Reduced Appetite

Low blood pressure

Always consult your doctor or health professional.

The short answer is no. CBD itself does not appear to have addiction-related effects and has a low likelihood of producing tolerance or physical dependence.

This is especially notable compared to prescription analgesics or anti-anxiety medications like opioids or benzodiazepine drugs.

However, CBD can become habit-forming as people begin to rely on the supplement as a source of relief from their symptoms.

This is very different from physical addiction.

During a physical addiction, the body loses its ability to maintain homeostasis without the drug — causing severe withdrawal symptoms whenever it’s no longer in the system. This doesn’t happen with CBD — the worst that will happen if you stop taking it, even after many years of use, is that your symptoms may begin to reappear.

According to a 2017 Pre-Review Report, the World Health Organization (WHO)Trusted Source states that “evidence from well-controlled human experimental research indicates that CBD is not associated with abuse potential.”

The results of a small 2016 study Trusted Source of 31 adults show that while active THC produced substantial physical and psychological effects, such as rapid heart rate and euphoria, CBD did not affect heart rate, blood pressure, or cognitive function.

CBD also performed similarly to a placebo on self-reported feelings of intoxication. Conversely, the THC group reported feeling euphoric and sedated.

Not only is CBD not addictive, but it may even help treat drug addiction. Preliminary evidenceTrusted Source suggests that CBD might lower the likelihood of developing cocaine and methamphetamine use disorders. It may also help prevent relapse after a period of detoxification and sobriety.

The authors of a 2015 reviewTrusted Source found evidence that CBD may also help treat nicotine and cannabis addiction.

There’s even some evidence to suggest CBD can be used to treat addiction to other substances.

There have been no reported incidences, injury or illness caused by taking too much CBD oil. There is some further information available about the safety of doses on the WebMD website.

This is a question I’ve been asked a few times, especially someone in a profession status job that would be regularly tested. A preliminary study suggests the answer is “NO” as there is no THC in the product. CBD wouldn’t normally be tested for in a drugs test as it is legal and doesn’t have any psychoactive effects.

Most tests look for THC which is only present in very trace amounts in CBD products (less than 0.2%) so, your extremely unlikely to fail a drug test as a direct result of taking CBD Isolate.

If your concerned we would recommend that if you are subject to mandatory drugs tests through your employment for example, you check to see which specific substances are tested for.

Even though CBD is legal in European Union and UK, and while we have not heard of any issue throughout UK airports, we will still recommend you to take full care and precaution when travelling with CBD product, as the airport staff may confuse it with illegal cannabis products. When travelling outside of UK and European Union, it is best recommended to avoid traveling with CBD products.

Yes! Dogs also have endocannabinoid systems, just like humans. CBD is just as safe and effective for pets as it is for humans.

Many pet owners are using CBD to manage pain, inflammation, stiff muscles and joints, separation anxiety, and poor appetite.

As you search for CBD, you’ll see that most companies offer a few CBD products for pets.

Our pets are much smaller than us. As a result, they require significantly less CBD than what you might need. Link to my dosage for dogs

Animals don’t react well to THC, so that’s why we don’t use any THC in our Isolate CBD Oil.

There are potential side effects to note when our furry friends are given CBD but these are uncommon and normally only seen in conjunction with high doses. They include drowsiness, dry mouth, a potential lowering of blood pressure and in some cases diarrhoea. In most cases, we would advise that if you use dog CBD products to make sure that your pet has access to plenty clean water afterwards.

I spent a long time trying and testing healthy ingredients that were tasty but also beneficial for our furry friends.

Our homemade treats for dogs include Dental Bones, CBD Pup Cakes and CBD infused treats. We use only the finest food grade ingredients and since we do not use any additives or preservatives in our treats. We bake our treats slowly to retain the CBD effectiveness and to remove the majority of moisture to prolong shelf life.

We recommend keeping treats in a airtight container and refrigerated to extend their shelf life and freshness.

Although It is currently illegal for dog owners to provide their pets with CBD as a medicine, it is ok for a vet to administer that same product to the dog on your behalf. World wide CBD is being used by pet owner’s with great success. Our CBD oil for dogs UK is made with, an isolate CBD. All pet CBD oils are made using the same human CBD oil. As previously stated, if you have any concerns at all in relation to pets CBD always consult your veterinarian who can advise you on how best to use CBD oil.
